Share house/Guesthouse/apartment

For those who prefer to live at their own pace

Kudan Japanese Language School arranges "share houses" and "apartments" as accommodations for students. The share houses we introduce are home to both Japanese residents,
so you can make friends while staying and enjoy a more independent lifestyle. For those who prefer to live alone,
we also offer fully furnished apartments. One of the advantages compared to homestays is that these accommodations are closer to the school.

Duration of stay: From 1 month (it is possible to stay for less than 1 month, but the rent for 1 month will still be charged).
Items in the room:

Bed
Desk, chair
Hanger rack/closet/storage furniture
Air conditioner, heating equipment

Refrigerator (it may be shared in some properties)
Generally, the private rooms do not have their own toilet or shower. Toilets are typically located on each floor, and shower rooms are often shared and located on the ground floor in many cases.

Share house arrangement fee: 5,000 yen
Bedding fee (pay once): 10,000 yen
Typical monthly rent for share house: 75,000 yen～
Meals are not included.

Pros

Have your full privacy in your private room.
There are no restrictions such as curfews, allowing you to live at your own pace.
Either with the self-check-in system or agency’s adjustment, giving you more flexibility with your arrival date and time.
Many properties are relatively close to the school, with a commute time of under 40 minutes.
*Depending on rent and application timing, commute time may exceed 40 minutes in some cases.
Other Kudan students may have stayed in the share house, in that case you may talk to them when you have concerns.

Cons

Since most properties are monthly rentals, even for stays of 2 or 3 weeks, you will need to pay for one month's rent.
Depending on the share house, there may be limited opportunities to speak Japanese.
